Please forward this announcement to all your queer and ally friends, especially if
they’re baseball fans, former residents of the Brazos Valley, or former students/
alumni of our great schools and universities!
==========================================================

Normally, Brazos Valley QueSt wouldn’t pepper you with tons of extra e-mails about our upcoming Fall Homecoming; however, a generous supporter has donated some great baseball memorabilia for our silent auction, and this deserves a special announcement. Among the treasures are…

…a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball, with a certificate authenticating it was personally signed by him!

…an unopened, collectible NY Yankees gift package containing a team throw, baseball, and coffee mug!

…First and second Fireside Books of Baseball from the 1950s! The first has a forward by Ford Frick, and the second by Ted Williams. These books are in rough condition, but they show the loving wear of a rabid baseball fan. No baseball fanatic’s library is complete without them.

…a copy of Baseball Legends of All Time, from Publications International, Ltd, still in its original, factory sealed wrapping!

And you have the chance to own any or all of these treasures simply by coming to Homecoming and bidding on them at our silent auction. Your attendance and generous tax deductible support will help raise scholarship funds for Brazos Valley students who have made a positive difference in the queer/ally community.

Did you ever wish you could be Homecoming Royalty like Sissy Spacek and William Katt in Carrie? Or leather-n-lace Sockhop Royalty like John Travolta and Olivia Newton John in Grease? Or perhaps a pairing of Sissy with Olivia and William with John is more your style. It makes no difference!

BV QueSt is holding its annual Fall Homecoming - the homecoming like you never had - on Saturday, October 13 at Halo Bar at the corner of Main and William Joel Bryan in Historic Downtown Bryan. Scheduled for the Saturday immediately after National Coming Out Day, BV QueSt wants this to be a great Homecoming and reunion party in one, so please spread the news to all your queer/ally friends who have a connection to the Brazos Valley. Let them know soon so that they can mark their calendars and make their hotel reservations now.

Fall Homecoming is the chief fundraiser for BV QueSt’s Scholarship Fund for Brazos Valley students who have made a positive difference in the queer/ally community. With a silent auction, tasty homemade treats, and fantastic music, dancing, and performances, Fall Homecoming is for the entire community. And it’s tax deductible, too, because the IRS has granted BV QueSt 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization status. Go to www.bvquest.org for more information.
