Grants

Brazos Valley QueSt is accepting grant proposals from local organizations to sponsor queer and queer-supportive events or programming. Due to the enormous success of the Spring GAYla fundraiser, the BV QueSt OUTreach Grant was established. The OUTreach Grant may be used to supplement an organization’s funding for specific needs.

For example, a grant request may be submitted to bring in a speaker for a queer-related topic, a queer-supportive performer, or other queer-related activities. Organizations in need of funding to support queer activities should send contact information to grants@bvquest.com so a grant request form can be sent to you. Please visit www.bvquest.com for updated information about the BV QueSt OUTreach Grant.

After completing the form, return it to us at grants@bvquest.com. Review and notification make take as long as 6-8 weeks during peak seasons.

Scholarships

We are asking you share this information with current or former students who meet the following qualifications: applicants must be a Brazos Valley resident who will be attending an accredited college or university for the who identifies as GLBT or an ally. All applications must be submitted via email to:

scholarship@BVQueSt.com

Once the deadline has passed the scholarship committee will review and rank all applications. From that ranking and discussion of the committee, we will decide on the recipient of the Brazos Valley QueSt Scholarship. The winner will be announced at the Spring GAYla at Halo in downtown Bryan, TX.
