Your attendance and generous tax deductible support will help raise scholarship funds for Brazos Valley students who have made a positive difference in the queer/ally community. That’s one of the reasons we always schedule Fall Homecoming to fall on the Saturday of, or immediately after, National Coming Out Day.
And if you’d like to help by volunteering on the day of Homecoming, BV QueSt welcomes extra volunteers to help with setup, staffing, and cleanup of Homecoming. Please email lori@bvquest.org.
Can’t come? BV QueSt welcomes tax deductible donations at fundraising@bvquest.org. BV QueSt will give you receipts for your tax records.
BV QueSt is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose name symbolizes its ongoing quest to work toward a Queer-Straight alliance for the betterment of the Brazos Valley. Since BV QueSt was founded in 2004, the generous support of sponsors and businesses has allowed us to contribute thousands of dollars to OUTReach Grants, student scholarships, and other local queer/ally organizations such as AIDS Services of the Brazos Valley, Aggie ALLIES, TAMU Student Chapter of the Lesbian and Gay Veterinary Medical Association, the TAMU Women’s & Gender Equity Resource Center, and the Brazos GLBT Oral History Project.
For regular updates about BV QueSt events, join our announcement-only list: http://bvquest.org/email-list/. Your email address will not be shared with any organization outside of BV QueSt.
Thanks in advance for all you can do to ensure the undoubted success of Fall Homecoming 2007!

Mickey Mantle autographed baseball featured at BV QueSt Fall Homecoming auction!
===========================================================
Please forward this announcement to all your queer and ally friends, especially if
they’re baseball fans, former residents of the Brazos Valley, or former students/
alumni of our great schools and universities!
==========================================================
Normally, Brazos Valley QueSt wouldn’t pepper you with tons of extra e-mails about our upcoming Fall Homecoming; however, a generous supporter has donated some great baseball memorabilia for our silent auction, and this deserves a special announcement. Among the treasures are…
…a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball, with a certificate authenticating it was personally signed by him!
…an unopened, collectible NY Yankees gift package containing a team throw, baseball, and coffee mug!
…First and second Fireside Books of Baseball from the 1950s! The first has a forward by Ford Frick, and the second by Ted Williams. These books are in rough condition, but they show the loving wear of a rabid baseball fan. No baseball fanatic’s library is complete without them.
…a copy of Baseball Legends of All Time, from Publications International, Ltd, still in its original, factory sealed wrapping!
And you have the chance to own any or all of these treasures simply by coming to Homecoming and bidding on them at our silent auction. Your attendance and generous tax deductible support will help raise scholarship funds for Brazos Valley students who have made a positive difference in the queer/ally community.
